Website Blocklist

In the text box to the left, input the sites you would like to block. Each line should contain 1 site. Any website URL that contains one of the elements in the blocklist will be blocked. One example of a valid blocklist is as follows:

twitter.com
cnn.com
reddit.com
www.facebook.com
news.google.com

All 5 entries shown are valid. The format used in the top 3 entries is the simplest, and will block all pages on Twitter, CNN, or Reddit. The 4th entry is more specific, and will block the main Facebook site, but will not block subdomains like developers.facebook.com. The 5th entry is a subdomain specific entry, and will block Google News, but allow other Google services like finance.google.com.

Warning: Be careful not to use excessively vague or short entries on the website block list, such as "/" or "www.", as almost every website URL matches those elements.
Enhanced Blocking (optional, proceed with caution)

Step 1:

Enable Simple Blocker in Incognito Mode

Go to the Chrome Extensions Menu and check the box next to "Allow in incognito" under the listing for Simple Blocker. This will make it harder to circumvent the website blocking mechanism used by Simple Blocker.

Step 2:

Block the Chrome Extensions Menu

When this switch is set to ON, the Extensions page will be blocked, making it harder to disable this app.

Step 3:

Enable Password Protection and Set a Password for accessing this options menu

Enter new password:

Re-enter password:

To enable password protection, simply flip the switch to ON and set a password using the two fields provided. Be careful, though - once you enable the password lock, in addition to enabling Simple Blocker in Incognito Mode and blocking the Extensions Menu, you will only be able to access this options menu by entering the correct password.

Simple Blocker has successfully blocked blocklist access attempts on this computer.
