SpaceForce v1.0 MANUAL

Introduction

We Humans were promising race, we populated our planet and
just started exploring the nearby planets in our search for new resources.

All along we were not alone. AA (Allied Aliens) were continuously
monitoring us from space.

They came to the conclusion that we may pose a threat to their
empire and decided to destroy us before we get too strong.

Their attack was sudden and many cites were destroyed.
We found refuge in Mother Earth where our people were using
every second of their waking time to develop weapons and
strategies to defend our existence.

You have just passed the fight exams with flying colors, you were
the best cadet in class, and your task is to take the driving seat
in the lead vehicle equipped with the latest weapons and technology
especially designed to attack and avoid the alien flying machines and
missiles.
Your mission is to push the front line to the surface with the support
teams as they become available.

Lead and destroy

Play SpaceForce

  • Getting Started

Once the game is running you will be able to start a new game from the first menu screen, add a player name (Unnamed Solider) and choose the new/continue mode. If you want instant action go to the continue mode, but it is always best to play new game with intense story. When the new game starts you will be shown the main game intro animation, you can skip this at any time by pressing fire or space but again it is worth watching at least once so you know what is going on.

Arm your self, kill the enemy, follow the story, explore the levels and call for help. If you keep improving your tanks, fighter planes and helicopters you can keep one step ahead of the enemy. Can you save the Earth's capital cities?

Enemy ships in contact with shield will be immediately destroyed. At the top of the screen is the shield-progress bar, this gives a rough indication when your shield is ready to use.

  • PowerUp's

By destroying the enemy ships you can pick up equipment for your vehicle. With Power Up's you can increase your maneuverability and ample fire speed and power or just trigger a dangerous weapon.

Don't forget that at the right of this screen is the time line, this gives a rough indication of how long it will be operating. At the left side of the screen are PowerUps.

Click on the Call button and your chosen support will be on the way or enter the strategic mode and choose your support without constant alien distraction.

F18S - Call for air support
B2 - This airplane releases a huge amount of air mines.
F117 - This airplane releases an EMP shockwave bomb.

  • The Enemy

Here is a breakdown of some of the enemy units and bosses along with tips for defeating the more difficult opponents.

FIGHTERS - They are a constant threat and are also used in support roles with larger enemies.
FRIGATES - These crafts are armed with powerful laser turret, difficult to hit due to their speed.
HUNTERS - Difficult to hit due to their speed and great maneuverability.

GUARDIANS - These ships will really test your skills because they will sneak approach you.

BOMBERS - These heavy crafts are armed with powerful air-to-ground missiles, they are fairly slow moving but if a missile catches you then you will take some serious damage.

ION SHIPS - Magnificent piece of alien technology; it fires a fairly constant stream of radiation down to ground and if you are near it will be attracted to the ship. It needs only few second to recharge. You must never be caught in this stream of death.

ALIEN COMMAND CENTER - A heavily armored fortress that must be approached very carefully, it fires big red plasma balls of radiation down, left and right so come at it diagonally. Its weapons will probably be more powerful than yours so use your maneuverability.

ALIEN MOTHERSHIP - Covered in invulnerable armor and armed with huge ION cannon, only the middle of the ship is vulnerable to attack. Super advanced targeting and propulsion system mean they will hunt you down wherever you are. It will launch a massive amount of AAF whose only mission is your destruction, in such large quantities they can take out your ship very quickly. If you destroy the mothership, the remained alien fighters will be lost. At the top of screen is the mothership-damage-progress bar that gives you an indication about mothership damage.

Buying the game

If you purchase 'SpaceForce' online, you could be playing the full game in a matter of seconds. After we receive your Credit Card, switch card or PayPal payment via our secure server, you will be able to register the game which will unlock the full version of ' SpaceForce ' right away.

The demo versions of our products includes all of the graphics and code for the full version of the game. These parts are locked away from you until you purchase the ‘license', which will allow you to access all the features of the full version. The license is just a short sequence of digits, which unlocks the demo so you can play the full version.

When you buy the full version you will be emailed a customer password so you can get into the members area of our website. With an active Internet connection just run the game and click ‘register', you will then be taken to the member's area. Once there the game will lock itself to your computer by issuing a unique ‘challenge' code. We will then email a special ‘response' code to you. Once you enter it into the game it is unlocked permanently but will only ever work on your computer. Don't worry if you change your computer - in future you can just re-license the game for free. The whole process just takes a couple of minutes, this means that you do not need to wait to play the complete version - you just type in the ‘response' code and you have it there and then!

As the demo and full version of the game use the same files and the full version is locked to your computer, feel free to give a copy of the game to your friends. The game will simply detect it is running on a different computer and fall back into demo mode. Share and enjoy!

From your own computer
This is the easiest way to buy the game, most of the process is automated and you can be playing the full version in a couple of minutes.

Download the demo from our site or any of the popular mirrors and then buy the full version from www.provox.hr .

Install the game on the computer you intend to play on, it will now be playable in demo mode.

Start the game and it will remind you it is in demo mode and give you the chance to register. Make sure you have an active Internet connection, from the first menu screen go to the register page and select ‘register now'.

You will then be taken to member login at PROVOX, type in the email address used to register the game and your customer password (can be found in the original email).

Once logged in you will be taken to the customer panel. Here you can request a ‘response' code.

The game's unique computer identifying ‘challenge' code will be automatically entered for you. Just click submit and the ‘response' code will be immediately emailed to you. (If it doesn't appear just type it in manually or copy it from the clipboard).

Open the email and copy the code to the clipboard, then go back to the game ‘SpaceForce' registration page and paste it in. (Or just type it in manually). Hit unlock and the game should now be running in ‘full version' mode. Enjoy!

SpaceForce on CD-ROM
If you want to order a copy of the game on CD-ROM, there is a slight additional charge to cover postage and packing. The CD-ROM version of the game is locked to the CD itself so there is no need to register your computer or request a ‘response' code. Plus you get a lovely looking CD and the piece of mind of knowing you always have a hard copy of the game.

I don't have a permanent Internet connection
Get hold of the demo and install it on the computer you intend to play the game on. Run the game, it will be in demo mode, go to the registration page and note down the ‘challenge' code. Now you need to get on the Internet and buy the game, you can do this at a friend's house if they have a connection, or at school/ university/ work or even at an Internet café.

Once on the net go to our website and buy the game, you will need a credit card or switch card or PayPal account. You will then be emailed your customer password, it is important that you keep this safe. You can now log into the member area of the site, type in your ‘challenge' code and you will be emailed a ‘response' code. You can then go back home and unlock the game using this response code.

If you have used a temporary email account at a friend's house or Internet café, don't worry, you can change your email address at any time in the future. You just need to remember the customer password and the original email address you used. With this information you can log into the members area and change your details. So, if in the future you change computer you can re-register the game and keep on playing even though your email address has changed.

  • Troubleshooting

If you're having problems with SpaceForce then use the links below to help us to solve your problem quickly.

Common problems with installing the game.

Firstly, the game and the demo are one and the same thing - in order to play the demo or the full game you must have the demo installed first.

Make sure that your machine fits the required machine specification.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard disk for the demo. You might need to make some more space by deleting old or unwanted files from your machine.

If you have tried installing the demo and it still doesn't work - are you sure you have a machine with the suitable version of DirectX and with a supported 3D accelerator?

Common problems with run the game

Are you sure you have a version of DirectX on your machine? If not, go to the Microsoft DirectX Download pages. Are you sure you have a suitable 3D accelerator in your machine?

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card/3D accelerator? Check on page for cards the game has been tested on and which drivers were used.

The graphics does not display properly :

Please check the 3D accelerators pages for details on problems with specific cards.

If your card is listed as not having problems, check if the video driver you are using is the one that was used in the test. Typically, if the driver is newer than the one listed, the game should also be fine. If you have an older driver, you might want to update your machine's video drivers - do this by going to the web pages of the maker of your video card.

Sound problems
Are you sure you have:

A suitable sound card fitted (it must be SoundBlaster compatible).

Speakers/head-phones connected to your machine/sound card.

Turned the volume up on your speakers/headphones.

Turned up the main volume of your sound card, using the taskbar speaker icon.

Within Windows you can set the volume of the sound.

I can't play the full version

Well, have you bought access to the full version of the game?

If not, then please www.provox.hr to find out how to purchase the full version. If yes, then the key is probably not installed correctly on your machine. To install a key
- Buy the key from the site,
- Go to the member log in page, enter your ‘challenge' code and then you will be sent a ‘response' code.
- Run the game and type this ‘response' code into the registration screen.

No play?

Send your email to info@provox.hr and we will try to get back to you as soon as we can. To get this service please include within your message the customer name and email address you used to purchase the products.
